CLAY-handsonMrs. Anderson’s 6th grade students are conducting hands-on science activities during their study of weather patterns, as they focus on blizzards. Some students expressed that they had never witnessed snow before so as an extension activity, Mrs. Anderson had them create “snow” using shaving cream and cornstarch. Students then created graphic organizers in order to discuss the pros and cons of blizzards and then compared blizzards to hurricanes.
